The Ban applies to advanced robots – including humanoid and four-legged machines. Many of which are made in China, which is competing with the US to develop robotics and artificial intelligence (AI).
The Ban on Importation of Chinese made humanoid robots and AI gadgets comes as a time the world is fast competing for Technological Dominance with big Tech companies in the US such as Tesla and China’s Unitree leading to the Technology Manufacturing industry.

China has issued a statement in wake of the total Ban on Importation of China produced Robots by the United States Government.
Beijing’s foreign ministry said it “firmly opposed” Tuesday’s move by the US Federal Communications Commission to add “advanced robotic devices” to the list of banned items on national security grounds.
Beijing accused the United States on Wednesday (Jul 29) of seeking to “suppress” Chinese companies, after Washington banned imports of humanoid and quadruped robots manufactured abroad.

Beijing’s foreign ministry said it “firmly opposed” Tuesday’s move by the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to add “advanced robotic devices” to the list of banned items on national security grounds.
”China has always firmly opposed the US overstretching the concept of national security to suppress Chinese companies,” ministry spokesperson Mao Ning told a regular news conference.
Beijing will take “necessary measures” to safeguard the rights and interests of Chinese companies, Mao added.
”Protectionism cannot enhance US competitiveness. It will only harm the interests of American companies and consumers.”

It added that the use of robots made outside the US could allow “malign actors to surveil Americans, enhance the capabilities of foreign intelligence services, or to remotely commandeer the robots”.
The Chinese embassy in Washington also said Beijing will “take all necessary measures” in response to any moves that harm its interests, urging all countries to work together to develop AI “for the positive and for good”.
