Meet STAR⭐ Benue Inventor Jacob Aondona Tyo also referred to as Engr Tyo Jacob Aondona, a Gboko-based inventor and fabricator from Benue State native of Vandeikya Local Government Area.
Jacob is known for building functional Vehicles and Machines from scratch using Local materials and skills. One of his creations is a locally made vehicle referred to as “Bush Baby,” which was tested by the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of B Division in Gboko Benue State.
Based in Gboko, Benue State, STAR ⭐ Inventor Jacob, specializes in local manufacturing of mini trucks, bikes, farming tools, and agro-processing/tillage machines using locally sourced materials entirely from scratch and branding some as “Made in Benue.”
In addition to the Bush Baby vehicle, Jacob has constructed several mini trucks. In late 2025, STAR ⭐ Inventor Jacob built a fully functional truck from scratch attracting widespread attention as a demonstration of Benue talent and Self-reliance.
Jacob also fabricates farming machines, including an agro-tiller/ploughing machine. In September 2025 he presented one of these innovations to the Tor Tiv – Paramount Ruler of the Tiv nation, Orcivirigh Prof. James Ayatse, at the Tor Tiv Palace in Gboko. The Tor Tiv publicly blessed his work, praised the technological contribution, encouraged him to train youths, and pledged support toward reaching authorities for possible funding or sponsorship to scale up production and replace hard labor with mechanized farming.
In an Interview with SeedufyTech, the STAR ⭐ Inventor has expressed interest in training youths.
He says: “A lot of Nigerian youths are walking about idle and without jobs. I want to train dozens of our young people in developing additional machines such as rice harvesters and other agro-processing equipment for Benue farmers and beyond”
Jacob’s work fits into a broader pattern of self-taught or workshop-based inventors in Benue and other Nigerian states who produce functional vehicles, tricycles, or farm equipment under resource constraints.
Support from traditional institutions such as the King of Tiv land and local visibility exist, but widespread scaling depends on further funding, partnerships, or government/private backing which are common challenges facing several highly Skilled and Talented Nigeria inventors.
