The Federal Government of Nigeria has Launched Services.gov.ng, a centralised digital gateway designed to provide citizens and businesses with a single point of access to a wide range of government services.
The new portal is intended to simplify interactions with government by allowing citizens, entrepreneurs and businesses to submit applications, verify official information and access government opportunities online without having to navigate multiple platforms or depend on third-party intermediaries.
Developed through the Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, the platform brings together services that were previously spread across multiple government agency websites and physical offices. Users can access services including business registration, trade permits, identity verification, regulatory licensing, empowerment programmes and civic initiatives through one digital platform.
The new portal is intended to simplify interactions with government by allowing citizens, entrepreneurs and businesses to submit applications, verify official information and access government opportunities online without having to navigate multiple platforms or depend on third-party intermediaries.
The initiative forms part of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which places emphasis on digital transformation, institutional transparency, public-sector efficiency and improved service delivery.
By consolidating government services on a single verified platform, the government aims to reduce administrative duplication and delays while making public services more accessible. The centralised system is also expected to help protect users from fraudulent websites and scams by providing an official channel for accessing government services.
The platform brings together digital services covering business and commerce, identity management, regulatory requirements and government-backed empowerment programmes, supporting the government’s broader efforts to build a more efficient and digitally enabled public sector.
