He developed a social networking app using Django and Python, inspired in part by a visit from Mark Zuckerberg to one of his coding classes. He also created a swear-word remover tool aimed at protecting children online from cyberbullying and inappropriate content, reflecting an early interest in using technology for social good.

In February 2023, at age 13, the young STAR ⭐ Inventor sat for and passed the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner examination. This foundational credential validates understanding of AWS Cloud concepts, services, security, architecture, pricing, and support making him the youngest certified AWS Cloud Practitioner in Africa.
He did not stop there. Encouraged by his earlier success and further prompted by his father and peers, Joshua prepared for more advanced associate-level exams. He studied two to five hours daily for roughly six weeks. In mid-2023, he passed the AWS Certified Developer – Associate examination, a rigorous two-hour test covering deployment, troubleshooting, and development of applications on the AWS platform. Shortly afterward, he also earned the AWS Solutions Architect – Associate certification, another significant milestone for Africa.
These associate certifications are professional qualifications designed for individuals with hands-on experience. Achieving them at 13 required not only technical knowledge but discipline, focus, and access to quality learning resources, many of which AWS itself provides freely or at low cost, alongside community materials.
STAR ⭐ Inventor Joshua describes himself as a “Future Skills Activist.” This identity reflects his belief that technology education should begin early and that young people across Africa are capable of far more than adults often assume.
