The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has officially opened applications for the 2026 edition of NANSInnovate, its national entrepreneurship and innovation programme. The announcement, made on August 10, 2026, by NANS National President Comrade Akinteye Afeez (popularly known as BABTEE), invites Nigerian students with existing businesses or viable business ideas to compete for funding, mentorship, and national exposure.
NANSInnovate 2026 aims to bridge a persistent gap as many brilliant student ideas never move beyond the classroom because of limited access to capital, networks, and practical support.

Who Can Apply
The programme is open to Nigerian citizens currently enrolled in recognised universities, polytechnics, or colleges of education across all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory. Applicants may enter with either an existing business or a new business idea they intend to develop.

What You Need to Submit an Application
Interested students must prepare:
- A valid student ID card (JPG, PNG, or PDF)
- A business proposal of not more than 10 pages in Microsoft Word (.docx) format, using Times New Roman, size 12, single-line spacing, and not exceeding 5MB
- A 100-word business pitch explaining the idea or venture, its importance, and how the funding would be used
Optional documents such as CAC or SMEDAN certificates can strengthen an application but are not mandatory.
